Detail
The project “Increasing Health-Sector Capacities and Strengthening Coordination on Climate Action in Argentina at the National and Subnational Levels” (Green Climate Fund Readiness Project, 2022–2024) adapted methodologies and trained teams, applying the Health Care Without Harm tool in six pilot healthcare facilities in Neuquén, Tucumán and Misiones. The ICAT Argentina initiative (2024) estimated emissions using data from 73 healthcare facilities and produced useful methodological inputs, but these did not result in an official tool adopted by the Ministry and the estimates have wide margins of uncertainty. There is no resolution approving a standardised calculator or national protocol, no progressive rollout plan, no integration with health information systems, and no public reporting on adoption. The assigned category is therefore “Early progress”.
