As measure CB-04 does not establish an explicit start date, the publication date of the current National Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan, 24 April 2023, is used as the starting point. Between 24 April 2023 and 18 August 2025, no extensions to the boundaries of Ramsar Sites in Argentina were recorded. The most recent extension was that of Ciervo de los Pantanos National Park on 11 November 2021, when its area increased from 3,000 hectares to 5,561.31 hectares, preceded by the extension of Laguna de Llancanelo in 2020.

A new site, Península Mitre, was designated in 2024 and added to the list on 20 August 2024. However, this constituted the designation of a new site rather than the extension of an existing one. The indicator value is therefore 0, and Objective 27.1 is considered unachieved.
