FIRST ANALYSIS OF THIS OBJECTIVE CONDUCTED IN AUGUST 2025
Category
No progress
Detail
Between the 2019/20 and 2025/26 agricultural seasons, the national average grain yield per hectare remained stable at around 3.3 to 3.4 tonnes per hectare in years with normal conditions. No sustained increase in yield was recorded during this period. However, in the 2022/23 season, which was marked by a severe drought, yield declined significantly. This indicates that the total quantity of grain harvested did not increase, even though the sown area remained stable. A chart was prepared using data from these agricultural seasons and is available in the “Further information” section. Consequently, the assigned category is “No progress”.
No response on this matter was received in any of the information requests submitted to the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and the Undersecretariat of Environment.
