A validated roadmap for the National Climate and Health Observatory was developed under the project “Increasing Health-Sector Capacities and Strengthening Coordination on Climate Action in Argentina at the National and Subnational Levels” (Green Climate Fund Readiness Project, 2022–2024). Workshops conducted under the project defined its institutional design, scope and information sources. In addition, the First Progress Report on the Implementation of the Second National Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan, published in November 2024, confirms that implementation is under way. However, the Observatory is not yet operational and does not publish indicators, which limits integrated monitoring and anticipatory action. No concrete progress towards effective operation has been verified over the past 18 months. The assigned category is therefore “Early progress”.
