FIRST ANALYSIS OF THIS OBJECTIVE CONDUCTED IN AUGUST 2025
Category
No progress
Detail
According to the First Progress Report of the National Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan, preliminary risk assessments were completed for 3 of the 4 parks prioritised by 2023—Campos del Tuyú, Copo and Talampaya—while initial work was carried out for Los Alerces. In addition, a specific assessment focusing on human communities was conducted for Los Glaciares. These preparatory inputs include the identification of information needs, the development and validation of risk chains, and the mapping of potential adaptation actions in existing plans.
However, the objective refers to “new management plans” that explicitly integrate vulnerability and adaptation measures. To date, no public evidence has been found of new approved and published plans that meet this criterion. The assigned category is therefore “Early progress”.
