The First Progress Report on the implementation of the second PNAyMCC, in section GS-25, reported on the implementation of the National Native Forest Monitoring System (SNMBN), which includes a Deforestation Early Warning System (SAT). Every 15 days, the system automatically processes Sentinel and Landsat 8 satellite imagery, applying algorithms that use various techniques, time series, and spatial patterns. One hundred percent of the alerts are then validated and processed in a Geographic Information System environment and cross-checked with secondary information such as the Native Forest Territorial Zoning (OTBN) and the National Registry of Plans. A report is sent to each province detailing the alerts and requesting information on the legality of each deforestation event (whether it was authorized or not, the instrument authorizing the clearing, case file number, and measures to be taken in the event of illegal actions, among other data).

A total of 11,607 alerts were recorded. In relation to the OTBN approved by the jurisdictions, the largest alerted area falls within Category II (yellow) conservation zones, with 76,986 ha, and Category III (green) conservation zones, with 60,342 ha.
